Title: Pork Butt on the Weber Smokey Mountain
Post by: HighOnSmoke on January 22, 2015, 08:03:49 PM
This is a 7 pound pork butt that I seasoned with John Henry’s Hot Texas Pig rub.

Put on the 22.5 WSM burning KBB with cherry and apple wood.

Here it is after 4 hours and an internal temp of 160.

Finished at 195 internal temp after 9.5 hours.  FTC for the next couple hours.

All pulled and ready to eat.

Plated with some boxed macaroni and cheese on our fancy dinnerware.

I did not wrap the butt just let the fire and smoke do its thing today.  It was definitely finger licking good and there were no complaints.

I normally will do 3 or 4 at a time but I just replenished my kids supply of pulled pork and this was the only one I had left.  ;)

I love it!!  So many meals can be prepared with some good looking PP like that.  I need to check my freezer.  I may have a couple of butts in there.

Great minds ! ! !  I got one out of the freezer yesterday to cook for the folks tomorrow.  Going to rub it down when I get home from work in a little while.

BTW - I can only hope mine turns out as good as yours, Mike!
