So I ordered this Kettle Friday evening at 5:00PM from Amazon and selected the free shipping with an estimated delivery date of about a week. I can't believe it showed up in less than 48 hours and on Easter to boot. I have never received a package on a Sunday in my life from the USPS and she was cute too ;D

Emmett must inspect all that comes through the front door.

It was super easy to put together and nothing was damaged. It even came with an extra wheel nut.

I think we'll just leave Ginger in the house for the day and ogle at her :o

I have tomorrow off so I will get some Charcoal and I think I may spatchcock a chicken for my inaugural cook. Thanks for looking.

You definitely are going to love that kettle! But beware: You can't just own one Weber product! ;) ;D
They have a way of multiplying, especially around my house! 8)

I see a WSM in your very near future.

Congrats Key on your new toy!

That's a nice looking kettle. I've not seen that color before. You are going to love it.
P.S. Our little kitty has to do the same thing; inspect any new box that comes into the house. :D

Perfect..I have one the exact same color, bought it last summer..your gonna love it..charcoal is on sale for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor day at Lowe's for 2 - 20# bags for $9.99..I always stock up. Your gonna need a vortex..I got the medium size and a charcoal Starter. No lighter fluid is harmed with my cooks. Then go for it. Enjoy. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I love meat cooked over charcoal. My Weber kettle is the more formal model (black).
Buy a chimney when you buy the charcoal. Try to stay away from charcoal lighter fluid.

That is a great color and great product
-
Neat color, your gonna love it had one for years before I started with Big Easy's

Very nice Aaron..I have never seen that color before..I like it..look forward to the chicken post....I am back in Saudi so all of this wonderful stuff on the forum looks good...

You are going to love that Weber. I love the color and that is a cool name. Mine is just basic black and he calls himself Fred.

Great color on that kettle. When you get your Weber chimney starter, also get the Weber starter cubes. Sure beats newspaper ash blowing around on a windy day 8)
Safer as well, especially up here in the mountains 8)

Going to live it

You'll LOVE it! I had my Original (black) 22" Weber grill for 30 years, gave it away when we moved down here (tight on room).... but now that the wife has given me the entire deck to use, I'm going to get another one, because some stuff just tastes better roasted over charcoal. BTW.... if you're looking for a decent 'round dome' cover for that, I was in Home Depot yesterday and they have one that will fit that perfectly on sale for $9.95. It's a Master Forge brand, (I've had good luck with their covers) but HD also has a large selection of custom Weber covers that were all on sale as well, I think that one was $22.00, you'll want to keep it covered, of course.

Very nice !

Congrats Aaron!
Great purchase. Can't go wrong with a Weber!
-
If you go with a Weber cover for your 22.5, they offer two. One el cheapo and the other is of pretty good quality.......
-
Really like that color!
-
You're gonna love the Weber. I cook on mine 2-3 times a week, pretty much year round.
Like others have said:
- get a charcoal chimney & the small weber chimney will work fine
- get the lighter cubes, much better than newspaper and they on cost like a quarter a piece
- put the Vortex on your "soon to acquire" list
- if it hasn't been mentioned yet, look into a set Grill Grates, if only you don't lose anymore asparagus ! ! ! !
Lastly, I would say, get out there and crank that baby up ! ! ! (Oh, and take some pictures, we LOVE to see what each other's doing.)
