Greetings all! I recently received a Pit Barrel Cooker from my wife and have made two attempts at cooking up half chickens. The chicken was great both times but the cook took about an hour longer than expected - the birds would just not come up to temperature. So I decided to do some Google searching to figure out what I was doing wrong. That led me to this great forum, where I was impressed by the amount of knowledge that is available.
I hope I can eventually reach the point where I will be able to offer some useful advice, rather than just benefit from it. Cooking is something that I really enjoy and I really look forward to expanding my knowledge through this forum. Thanks for letting me be a part.
