Prince never was my "cup of tea"! I knew he was a top-shelf artist, but his music didn't affect me. Friends of mine adored him, I never got it. But there is no doubt in my mind that he wasn't one of the best. We all have our favorite types of music genres, and our favorite artists, but artistic greatness comes around so rarely.

I guess I was a little too old to really get Prince, but I recognize he was a great musician and Purple Rain will go down as one of the most popular songs of all time. I hate to see any talent like that go so soon.
