Two pulled Costco Rotisserie Chickens and a pile of bones/skin ... the 4 drumsticks with the skin on are for my Grandson ;D ;) Costco Rotisserie Chickens are HUGE and only cost $4.99 each!! You'll be hard to find an uncooked chicken that size for less than the cooked one ...

Best deal in the store, after the free samples. Those potatoes look really good, as does the rest.

I use them in Brunswick Stew, along with the smoked pork I get from trimming up spare ribs into St Louis cuts. My wife refuses to use the squirrel and rabbit meat I grew up with in Brunswick Stew.

Really a great post Pete! We need more of the practical idea kind of posts.
Look -- we all love to splurge and cook some meals that are a little spendy - but it is great to have suggestions on how to have great food - and not spend a chunk of money!
A+ on your term paper for this one! :D

Good lookin' groceries indeed. Most of the time you almost (almost...) can't cook one yourself for 5 bones!
