Howdy fellow backyard pyromaniacs!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Not sure whats taken me so long to join in on the conversations, as this has to be one of the best run/most friendly forums on the web :).
A bit about me… I’ve been cooking outdoors since my late teens… just can’t get enough of it! Currently cook on a Kamado Joe BigJOE, Kamado Joe Jr, MAK 1 Star and a Blackstone griddle. Like many of you I am sure, I have been through my fair-share of cookers over the years (stickburner, LOTS of Weber kettles and gassers, PBC, Traeger, Hasty Bake and a sweet lil hibachi . Really REALLY enjoying my current setup, and find that it is meeting my cooking needs quite well.
Just a side note: I notice that Sparky is the resident rib whisperer. The Hasty Bake that I used to own, and the MAK 1 Star that I currently own were both purchased from good ole' Sparky. Man oh man did he have that 1 Star pre-seasoned for me…LOL!!! He’s quite a character, and seems to be one heck of a backyard cook!!
Thanks to all that make this a great place. Look forward to joining the conversations...
See you around,
Robb
