I've ate them, but never thought about the work involved in skinning and filleting a gator.

I eat allot of gator, some very good and some tough.
Soak in buttermilk overnight,
No dont taste like chicken, taste like gator.
There is a rattler over by the fence line, i see him again and he meets the 22cal pellet then some chili. :D :D

I had gator one time, tasted like fishy chicken ??? ??? ??? ??? or frog legs couldn't take another bite

Tommy: Your gator was probably not fresh. As you know, any meat especially seafood or gator is much better when fresh. Try it again, if you can find some fresh. If it tastes fishy, it is not fresh. It is really good when deep fried in smaller pieces.

Interesting.... not for me, but had a friend who's nickname was Gator. Mainly because that was his favorite food though.

The only gator I've ever had was at a one of those casual dining restaurants. Little nuggets that were deep fried.
There were okay, and I would eat them again, but I wouldn't go outta my way.
I guess there's other ways to cook it . . . .
