Well, kind of. I've been working real hard for the past month going to Scotland and England for 4 weekends of golf (Yes, that's 3 trips to Scotland and 1 to England this weekend)....and because I have been working so hard (without frequent flier miles), my boss has rewarded me with an all expense paid trip to Rio for 3 weeks. Yea!! (tongue in cheek). So I'll be leaving sometime on Wednesday and will be returning around the 23rd or 24th. Gonna try to stay in touch with you guys, but my phone wasn't working very well down there a couple of months ago. We are taking several ATT cell towers with us that worked pretty well in Sochi but we couldn't use them much because the Russians were listening and I didn't want to divulge any LTBBQ secrets. Don't think that will be a problem here. We'll see how it goes this time.
I have heard that there is a Zika carrying mosquito problem in Rio so I have been standing in the backyard giving my body up to the dreaded and most painful Texas mosquito. Letting them bite me all over. This will certainly build up my anti-bodies and immune system, right? I'm not sure that it is working, but at least I'm getting to scratch places on my body that I didn't think that I could reach anymore. There might be a few other little problems that they are worrying about so I am telling myself to be vigilant at all times. Gonna try to give a full report when I return. Hope that it is an uneventful report.
Before I leave on Wednesday, I'll try to give a little insight as to what we are doing in Rio and how we will be sustaining ourselves.
Keep the smoke rolling while I'm gone. See ya'll in about 3 weeks.

Turtle, that is good advice. I've rethought it and I will take the samba costume out of my bag and leave it home. That will make room for a second pair of underwear.
Safe travels Don, you have one of the best jobs in the world. Enjoy.
Ray, it was a great job for about 6 months, but after 44 years, the novelty has pretty much worn off.
Stay away from Hotel street. Bad ppl there.
Sparky, I don't know where that street is, but if I find it, I'll stay away. Hope that it is not Avenida Atlantica. That's the street where my room is.

Jaxon, I will be at Copacabana Beach doing beach volleyball, part of the triathalon, and marathon swimming. On a side note, the temporary studio we built on Copacabana beach a couple of months ago was hit by some 15 foot waves several days ago and sustained some damage and a little sea water inside. Also, the temporary Olympic Broadcasting Services building is jacked up on stilts and it is on the verge of collapse. Both these buildings are right on the beach and should be back to ready by Saturday morning when we need it.
And don't forget to take the lens cap off..be Safe .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
You'll never let me live that down.
