"just because you got a new bbq doesn't mean you have to use it tonight. get out of the rain you old fool. come inside and i will order ya a pizza". just wait 36 minutes after my 20 minutes for my coals and i will serve ya up a gourmet meal dear. my wife came outside w/ a coat, beanie, smile and a kiss.

this is way better than the drum. the food taste so much better w/ the PBC. ok, welp. trading a 55 gallon stainless steel drum for a 22' WSM. this 55 is gone. PBC is here to stay.
thanks for looking.

Another home run.

I really like the rebars to hang stuff from and the handle is cute too. I use an old rotisserie to hang stuff from in my tbe and srg with the rib hooks..great concept. The tri looks fabulous. Too bad we can't get them here. I had my first tri at the gathering in Georgia..fabulous. I saw a coouple of tri tips here but they were all pre marinated in god knows what. I wanna taste the meat..exactly like yours. Pammie .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

BTW - I want to mention that the packaging of the PBC was fantastic - there is no way anything could arrive damaged with the care that was put into this! Great folks!

Hey Sparky...two questions for ya:
I didn't see the horse-shoe stand in the pics...Noah told me he sells it separately even though it comes standard with the PBC, because some new owners forget to take it out of the barrel...where is yours buddy?
and
Is the Pit Barrel Cooker everything I said it was??
-
smoke,
I am sure sparky got the stand - I did. It looks like he added a barrel dolly to move it around. Not a bad idea. Don't know what sparky thinks, but I have to say - just one cook, a pulled pork - it is everything you've said and MORE! This thing rocks and is so easy to set up and use. Thank you for your reccomendation and tips! I can't wait to get home from this trip and start cooking some more!
A pic of the finished product - no real bark - did the foil for this cook, but everyone was raving!
Cheers,
David

Very nice D-Holly!!! My next butt, I am not foiling at all...want some bark!!! Just bought a huge packer briskie at Wal-Mart and will be hanging that next weekend!!
It is amazing at how much room you have when you hang the meat vs laying it flat.....besides it is fun to use charcoal starting fluid again!!
-
smoke,
You are right about the room in this thing - I could cook for the entire neighborhood - and probably will! I'm not a big bark guy, but might try the unfoiled way just to see what I can get. Actually, this was so good, I might not change anything! Can't wait to try some ribs & chicken. But, one of my firsts when I get back home next week will be a turkey or more likely turkey breast. Since we will be at in-laws for Thanksgiving, I'll have no leftovers. Leftovers are the best part of Thanksgiving meals in my mind... love turkey sandwiches - hot and cold. So, I will probably do a turkey breast in the PBC on Friday to make me some "leftovers"! Will send pics.
Have a great Thanksgiving and thank you for your help!
David

Just wait until you hang some chicken halfs!!
-
Stay tuned - will be back after Thanksgiving with a bunch of cooks!
