Hello, I'm an amateur backyard griller trying to gain knowledge, tips and tricks from Let'sTalk BBQ.   I love watching videos posted by Tom Horsman whom frequently mentions this website and forum. I currently cook on a 22 Weber Performer but I'm interested in pellet grills currently eyeing the Rec Tec grills.  Happy New Year!

Love my Rec-Tec, but if you have the $$$$$ look at the MAK's  well worth the $$$

Welcome!  You didn't say where in NC but there are quite a good number of us from NC on here.  I'm from Lincolnton, between Hickory and Gastonia.

Pellet cookery is fantastic but too many go into it without understanding the whats and hows and too many have the wrong expectations.  Here's the scoop:

Here's another NC welcome.  I live in Morganton. Periodically a group of the NC LTBBQ Mafiia get together for a luncheon.

If you are local enough to Hub, teesquare (Hendersonville) or me, you could get a first hand look at several different pellet grills.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. For those of you in NC, I'm from the Huntersville, NC area.  Looking at everyone's cred's I have a lot to learn. 2017 looks to be a great year for grilling/bbq!
