Did two racks of ribs in the Bradley digital yesterday
Rubbed & smoked with Jim Beam @220 for 3 hours.
Foiled with a little hard apple cider & Jim Beam for about 30 minutes.

A good coat of Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce & about 30-45 minutes to set.
Some of the best ribs I have done.
Served with fries & Texas toast. Sorry, no picture. I was too hungry & forgot to take one. :D

Don't need no pic of fries and toast when you have a picture of those ribs and man o man do they look good.
Don't see many Bradley Smokers as much these days.

Those ribs look great. It almost looks like they have a little char too them

The Bradley is the only smoker I have.
I have entertained the idea of getting something different, but it always gives me a good cook and is easy to use, so I will use it until it starts giving me problems & then decide whether to replace it with something different or just get another Bradley.
Like muebe, I use it a lot for smoking cheese & jerky.

You don't really need a different smoker if the Bradley does ribs that good!!! Don

You make total sense to me and I never had bad food off of our friend's Bradley. If it works don't fix it. :)

I almost didn't open this thread, because to be honest...although I've never cooked on one...the Bradley kinda bores me.
Sure am glad I opened this thread!!!
Killer ribs, and maybe I am wrong about the Bradleys ;)

Great job on your ribs! They look wonderful!
I'm like RW, never cooked/smoked on an electric, I see a great low-temp advantage, especially with sausage. But i too just think of wood/pellets, and charcoal, but that's because it's all I've been exposed to. As my dad used to say, "there's many ways to skin a cat!"

Those bad boys look spot on. Nicely done.

Hi Roget,
Just read this thread & wanted to comment on the Bradley. I have a 4 rack digital that I purchased in 2012. Have not used it as much as did at first, but just put a 8# butt on this morning & wanted to pass along an experience that I stumbled upon. Put a 6" x 8"steel plate on the top shelf after some of the dreaded black rain showed up on 1 cook. It was rather windy the first time I used this setup, but noticed the plate seemed to even out hot & cold spots better in smoker. After several more cooks with steel plate that I inverted the shelf for more room on 2nd shelf my cooks were going faster than expected when breezy. Have the dual element with PID mod. Don't use my homemade shelter when breezy & cooks still are faster than expected. That steel plate seems to force the air away from the center toward the outside better, but still need more testing. Haven't taken any pictures of setup just yet. Comments or questions welcome.
