Title: TEE IS OUT TO LUNCH....FOR ABOUT A WEEK
Post by: teesquare on December 06, 2012, 07:22:29 PM
Hey boys and girls...

I will be out on the road all week...Seems I allowed ACW3 to drag me into a huntrip for Elk on Ted Turners ranch in northern NM (www.vermejoparkranch.com) of course he did not have to drag me very hard!
Please be patient if you need me for anything. Otherwise have fun and someasaurus can help if you need.

I hunted that ranch a couple of times when I worked for Pennzoil/PogoProducing back in the 70s.
Our bosses, the Liedtke brothers owned it then

Love those Rockies. Have a safe trip. Do they still make Olympia Beer? Wind River memories. ::)

Don't know much about elk, Ted Turner, or Wind River, but what's any of that got to do with Tumwater, Washington (the home of Olympia Beer)?

Kinda like Kona coffee. Do you remember the first time you had it? Could it have been in Cleveland? ::)

Now I understand.  To answer your question, they stopped making Oly about ten years ago (although Miller owns the brand so you never know when it might pop up again).

Cleveland?  I've never done anything for the first time in Cleveland.  And my first Kona coffee was in, uh, Kona (I lived there).  I liked Oly better.

Good luck on your hunt Tee and Art, try not to shoot each other. Maybe some elk meat will be on the menu at the next gathering.

I guess Ted has finally bought all of Montana and is branching out to New Mexico.
