Post by: smokeasaurus on December 15, 2012, 01:34:55 PM
While getting some more Instant Gourmet Original seasoning, I was looking around the web-site and stumbled upon some other blends: http://www.kitchenfusions.com/seasoning-blends-c-1.html?zenid=on18nni9klmc1p38gc3mq51pp2

will put em in the electric smoker a little bit later........

Just darn purty!! Typical electric smoked chix...moist and juicy with rubbery skin!!  :(  No plated shots...family tore into em!! :o Sorry Robbie...no rice and beans today...just ensalada with ranch dressin!  :)

Smoke you can finish them in the oven broiler to crisp up the skin some. Just pull em a little early ;)

chickens look good.  if you got you smoker to 275 you must have a cookshack.  smoke-it and smoken tex only go to 250.  how did you like the rub on the chicken?

Yup, it's a shack!! i ordered it for my neighbor and when he got it he complained that it was too small..after I seasoned it for him!! So I traded him my Tex prototype for it and everyone is happy!!

The rub didn't have the kick I thought it would have since it had jalapeno and cilantro in it, but it had a nice flavor that did not overpower the chicken....gonna try it today on a tri-tip!!

I like the herby crust that Sonora mix gave those chickens.

Thanks for posting about Sonora and I will give this one a shot.
I like the fact that it is sugar free.
"SUGAR FREE) Sonora is designed as an infusion of the savory southwest and Mexico combined with the aromatic complexity of the California coast"

Just ordered some so thanks
Been needing new flavors
