Title: Wondering about non stick
Post by: TMB on February 27, 2018, 11:25:59 AM
My XL has been darn near perfect (except for the poor handle design)  but I have used it a lot and finding the non-stick does not work as good as it once did

Is this because I cleaned it in the dishwasher a few times?  I mean I could cook ANYTHING and it never stuck now it's sticking a little.

Does a dishwasher have an effect on that coating??

I can't answer your question. But I use round parchment circles in mine. Works really well

YES..the dishwasher will affect the non stick on anything. If I have anything stuck on mine, I just cover it with water, doesn't take much and a few drops of Dawn while I'm eating, then when it's time to wash dishes, everything just wipes out. That trick works on eveything. Hubby noticed because he does the dishes. I still amaze him at times..just sayin..OH and...frogmats work great in AF too.
This is the sign that hangs above my sink.    .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Mine is fine. Still nonstick.

Never in the dishwasher, but soaked like Pam, with Dawn.

I buy the Gotham Steel Titanium & Ceramic 10" Copper Nonstick Fry Pan from walmart for about 19 bucks on sale. They last for about 4 months and I throw it out and buy another. Such is the world we live in. Everything is throw away now a days.

We only hand wash ours and our air fryer pan as well as our Copper Chef are both sticking. I have to use quick release spray before using them now.
