we are all safe still no power except the generators that give us hot water a few lights & a few cookers. Cell towers had gen,s delivered to keep them going. We have a small portable dvd player that is keeping the kids happy. But more rain & storms coming soon. I hope everyone is well.
She just came to our town in c.t. knocked down trees in our backyard like a bowling ball. Neighbors to the left & back lost the trees we escaped except 55 pct of our town is out including us. My wife is trying to get home from work. No fun

Update one of our friends in town had a tree go right into their living room roof. Everyone is ok thank God

You know tee the odds of being killed in a tornado in NE is greater then Kansas because of our Population density

Update my wife can't get home her dad's house was hit but is safe & her mom has no power same with my brother. Five different towns this will be some mess to clean up. 11 year old boy was killed in ny so sad

I guess I had not considered how much more dangerous a tornado in the N.E. can be...You are right TG..the population density where you are can make big difference in the impact.
Please keep us posted. Thoughts and prayers for you and all affected my friend.

Thanks tee I went out with my truck but all five ways into our house are blocked. It is not just population density it is tree density can't go a few 100 feet without a another tree down . I tried to blaze a trail for my wife but no go. I just called her and said please go to your mother's. Sometimes you just have to stay put and hopefully she can make it to her mother's

I have lived through a lot of tornadoes not fun but kinda use to them so I really don't get excited about them (bad I guess) and reason I had the shelter built last year

My wife made it to her moms nice & safe. I am going to see if I can get out today for some gas for the generator. But I have enough to get us through the day. Kids did well but miss their mom. We will try to get her home today. Thanks for all your prayers folks

Just thankful y'all are good. Notbsure if you remember 2011 at th Bomm-A-Rosa ??? ??? ??? went without power (except a gen for the freezer and fridge) for over a week
In a strang way it was nice, no phones or computer!! :D

Glad everyone is okay and not too much damage. It is approaching hurricane season here. We normally are far enough inland not to get hit but the past 2 years we have gotten it! New roof and BBQ area last year. Hope it misses us this year.

Glad you and your family made it through without anything too serious. A college friend from Guilford, CT posted some pics of a tornado that touched down on a lake that she lives off of ... not good times.

Glad everyone is OK! I live in South Alabama almost on the Florida line. We are in tornado alley and also get hit when there is a storm in the Gulf. The people that bought our in Birmingham made leaving the generator a condition of the sale and I have not gotten a new one yet, gotta so that.

The generators sure are great a neighbor of ours just bought one of those big dollar whole house generators problem is a tree fell on it can squashed it like a grape. He still had his old portable generator but he didn't have any gas ??? They say we will have power by Saturday or sunday.
