Hmm.. not sure what to make of that. Seems to me like the food would be sitting way to close to the source of heat/smoke. Cant see that producing any good eats.

Looks like it may work well with a gas grill but I like the amazen style smokers. Link worked fine the second attempt.
-
It's on Cooking.com and called the Smoking Platform by Charcoal Companion
-
Got a trojan and virus warning from clicking on that link.

Almost like the infuser without a lid.

Almost like the infuser without a lid.
Zactly... 1st question - without the "lid" does the smoke or other flavors really infuse the meat? But even then - the CB Infuser does the same thing (possibly better) for less money. I think the bigger issue this brings up is that there seems to be a desire for this type of cooking (infusing) that manufacturers are looking to meet. Maybe some other ways to skin that cat... Should be interesting.

I STILL like the Grill-top Infuser...
I can use it with or without the lid

Oh come on now! How can you not want to run out and buy a product whose first sentence in the instructions is to pour liquid in with the wood? Everybody knows you always smoke with wet wood. Dee
-
In all fairness, dee, it appears that the liquid goes into that slot thing on the front and doesn't mix with the wood. Even with that, it still seems to be a waste of good sheet metal.

Are you using a Mac or a PC Capt?

if your spam ware gave you a warning, I encourage you to to go cooking.com and look up the name of the product. I think you'll be a bit more concerned about the false reading of your software than before. lefit big time site and legit linkage.
