I had to pull a couple of stragglers out of the freezer over the weekend. Now that they're defrosted, I need to cook them. So, here's one rack of baby back ribs with John Henry Sugar Maple rub and a rack of Angus beef ribs with garlic powder, fresh cracked pepper and kosher salt.
Traeger's set to 250*. I expect to be eating ribs in about four hours.
Here's how they looked when I first put them on the cooker.

Nice Old School (and made in the USofA) Traeger!

I've had her for almost 15 years. I'm still on my first batch of pellets. I split a ton of pellets with two competition cooks. They went through their 700lbs of pellets in about a year. I still have about 300lbs of my pellets from that batch in the garage.

Dang.. I hate to think how many pellets I've gone through. But, cooking in the dead of winter in Central IL takes a lot of fuel.
A can of Rustoleaum and that thing would look as good as new!

just not on the inside... ::)...right Bill ;D

One of the things I do occasionally is pop in on the Brethren and hunt for posts that are blatant misinformation (easy to find there) and correct them. Not long ago I corrected one that assured every reader that pellets self-destruct after a few months of storage. Looks like your pellets have aged well. My oldest bag is about two years. They aren't decomposing yet ::)

Yeah, I'm actually surprised they lasted this long. I guess as long as they don't get damp, they're fine.

Are they done yet? I'm hungry!

I agree, those ribs look good! I think I went through about 700 lbs of pellets last year just cooking for the family. I can only imagine how many pellets you went thru last year Squirt!
