Title: O.T. Proud Pappa again!

My two kids have made me proud once again. This past Saturday was the annual H.S. Band Banquet/Year-end concert/Awards ceremony.

About 20 or so of of the 150 or so students, who were up on stage that evening, were selected for various awards and both of my kids were among them. My son received an "Outstanding Sophomore Musician" award, and my daughter received an "Outstanding Senior Musician" award as well as a Scholarship that evening.

I couldn't be more proud of either of them!

Tell the kids way to go Cliff, and I bet you are proud. I always wanted to play guitar and never could, no rhythm and sure can't sing! I envy people that have musical talent. Don

TentHunteR, you should be proud. Those are great achievements for your kids. I was a high school band kid. Just loved it. Moved on to The University of Texas Longhorn Band. We never lost a halftime.

Smokin Don, I always wanted to be a guitar player, too, but only turned out to be a guitar owner.

Congratulations!!

Like Don, I was in high school band - played the bass drum and loved it!  Was drum major my senior year and received the outstanding bandsman award. 

Don might not have played a guitar very well but I can tell you a secret about him in those days...

Cool! Percussion was my primary instrument, in fact I'm the percussion instructor for the local schools (I also play guitar  ;D)

That is awesome Cliff! Proud moment for sure! I keep lots of instruments in the house and me and the boys have "Jam" nights once a week.
