Title: New Topic Question
Post by: CDN Smoker on June 09, 2013, 03:50:09 PM
Every time I leave my new topic to copy photos etc and come back to my new topic is blank.

Any ideas as to why?

Thanks,
CDN

Hey CDN!

Albert Rivera here.

Had same problem the last few days. Wanted to introduce my self to the forum and post my latest cook pics and lost the entire post before I could submit (timed out).

None the less here I am. New to the forum not new to many of the forum participants.

From Haleyville, Alabama (Home of 911) since 1970 after military duty.

Discovered outdoor cooking last year and have had a great deal of helpful advice and neat info from fellows like: TMB (talked me through my first butt while talking on the phone off and on almost the entire cook)  Dee, Two pockets, Ir2Dum, TWC3, Rick, Pam Gould, Jaxon, Capt. Jack, Muebe, Old Dave, John at Amazen Smoker, CB just to name a few.

Day late and dollar short, but I am here.

Glad I found you folk!

I will be a little scarce for the next little while because of my job, but will participate best I am able.

Are you Leaving LTBBQ and going to photobucket then clicking your back button to return to LTBBQ? That is the only reason I would think you would time out.  I open a second tab on my browser and switch back and forth between my picture host and LTBBQ.
Welcome aboard Albert :)

Albert do yourself a favor. Compose your message in MS Word and then copy and paste. Its the only way I do it.

Well I am not familiar with Windows 8 yet but the times I have had this very issue is when I have several web page tabs open at the same time. Then when hopping from one tab like the photobucket web page and back to this one the fields I typed would clear. When I had only two tabs open I did not have this problem. Might have to do with memory or the page resetting.

I have done all my posts on this site from my ipad, photos and all.

Photobucket is open in its own tab with the site topic open in its own tab

Double click on the home button and make sure that the only two active apps are Safari and Photobucket. Close out all other active apps in your memory.
