Title: She Made It!
Post by: LostArrow on June 15, 2013, 10:54:05 AM
My oldest finished her residency yesterday!
5 years college , 4 years medical school, followed by 4 years of residency.
Residency is "easier" since they decreased the hours to 80/ week, but that doesn't count the hours studying, preparing papers etc.
She survived I'm PROUD & most importantly in Oct. she starts a good job.

John, That is some accomplishment.  It requires dedication, smarts, and strong support from loved ones.  If you have not read the book, "Gifted Hands" by Dr Ben Carson pick it up.  I think you'll like it.  Dee

Congrats, Lindsay!

For those of you who don't know, LA's other kids are overachievers too.  The son is in med school and the other daughter (wearing the turquoise necklace in the photo) is an attorney.

According to my reading, over achievement genes skip one male generation.  So, if LA's kids are over achievers then.....HuH?  Dee

Congrats!!!  You have every reason in the world to be proud of your kids.  It is so nice to hear good news and success instead of the usual "crapola" on the news today.
