Now that I got you to look!! Tonight for supper I made Boneless Baby Back Ribs. I used a cheap pork loin roast, cut it in half and scored it to look like rib sections. Seasoned it up like ribs and grilled them on the SRG on low. Yeah ok I know they are basically grilled pork chops with rub and sauce but they sure taste mighty good!
Here they are going on scored side down.

After they had been flipped once and the IT was at the 148 mark I brush a little sauce on them and let it set up. When I got and IT of 154 I sauced them again waited 5 minutes and pulled them. as I was pulling them I took this pic which makes them look like Lobstertails!!

My first thoughts were, "Homemade McRibs in Iowa? Why? And why admit to it?"

If they have them cut through around here. They are usually made from a boston butt.

NO Throw Down needed. My friend Sparky knows my ribs are better than his! ;D We just give each other a hard time for the fun of it.

Forget the nay-sayers, man, that's a good technique for cookin' pork loin...very creative...and I know it had to taste good. It looks better, too, than just a plain old loin.
That's another thing I like about this forum...gettin' ideas from people who think "outside-the-box". Most old boxes are square anyway...so, break out.

I wish I could come bye. I would love to be schooled by the old master. your pork chops look good. they do look like little lobsters. did I hear someone say smoke it buddy. cool, as kat Williams would say, "match, puff puff, pass. I know the rules". 8) from what I have been told. i'm really a angel. just ask my wife. ::)
