Title: This One's For Smoke!
Post by: LostArrow on August 18, 2013, 02:15:08 PM
It's been so long since Smoke cooked with Charcoal ::) I thought I'd refresh his memory!
Local grocery has just started carrying these cryo vaced beef ribs , pretty meaty , let you know how they taste.
Seasoned with CYM & homemade rub.

That's a SS veggie shaker basket I bought from Lowes.
I've made several baskets from expanded metal, last one sliced my leg pretty good ???

Expanded metal is as nasty as barbed wire........

It'll cook 3-4 hours without adding fuel

LA can cook the longest on charcoal of anybody I know besides Old Dave...

What a timely post.  I just bought some beef back ribs at Publix today for $1.99 lb.  They look mighty lean for beef ribs.
I've never cooked 'em before, so LA, if you wil...please give some good details on how you cooked these.  Mine look just like those.  I plan to cook 'em next weekend.
Thanx!

If those beef ribs are lean, ya might want to consider some sort of marinade to tenderize em.   Just stay away from the Tendarub  :'(

Gorgeous smoke ring ... I love my electric smoker but there is much to be said of the aesthetic component of charcoal smoking.
