My parents will be married 58 years this New Years Eve. My brother and me was kinda picking (more like discussing) on Mama the other night over some finances when Pops bolted up and flat out said "Leave her alone, she is all I got" We got the message real quick and then a buddy sent me these last night:

We must not forget, that these partners are not only the "love" of our lives, they are our best friends.

My mom passed away last year - she and my dad were married 56 years - together a couple more. He is still having a hard time moving on. But, then again, so am I.

Moving stories.
I'm not in my first marriage, but in this one each year with her becomes sweeter (unlike my prior marriage). Every year I think" "it can't get any better...", but then it does.
I thank my lucky stars each and every morning I am able to wake up next to my sweetheart. We're only headed into our 14th year, but hopefully lucky to have many more.

This year is the 40th with this wonderful woman. Each day I wake up thankful that I am with her. My first marrage was 9 years, mostly a lie on her part. I am sure the time I spent overseas didn't help, but that is not a good enough excuse. I was real lucky when she decided I wasn't making enough money for her needs and she left me. I now have a woman that loves me and supports me in every way. It doesn't get any better than this.
