Wanted to cook one more time before knee surgery so with all the talk and posting of pizzas here I thought why not cook pizza in the pellet pooper to see how it would work.
After warming it up and the temp read "TOO HOT" LOL (see 3rd picture) I knew I was ready
When it was read I used my Man Cave tool to remove it.

My thoughts are the same Tommy. Once I dive into the pizza making world, I'm going test the waters with some frozen pizza's first.
Just to get a feel for it (and take notes!)
Yours came out great!

looks good from here. :)

Looks good Tommy! Frozen pizzas are a great way to experiment with temp & time. Once you can make a good frozen pizza a few times, it's time to make your own from scratch. But there's certainly nothing wrong with a frozen one time to time - can be a great last minute dinner! Nice job! Good luck for your surgery!

Another good option is take n' bakes (e.g. Papa Murphy's). That way you get used to non-frozen bread and such.

Nice job!

Tommy, a boxed pizza never had it so good!
Folks, after cooking a pork sirloin roast on Tommy's "slightly modified" Pellet-fueled Double Chef cooker at The Gathering this past weekend, I was majorly impressed! Tommy is really on to something here!
Tommy, here's to wishing you a speedy recovery after your surgery!

We've cooked lots of pizzas on several different cooker types - yours looks better than most of our first attempts.
Great job!

Tommy nothing wrong with a pellet grilled frozen pizza. Many have made their way into my Memphis ;)
