Title: Easy after work dinner - cheese fondue
Post by: pz on November 25, 2013, 11:12:06 PM
Cut up a few vegetables, slice home baked bread, build the melted cheese pot and you have a really tasty treat for after work - filling and satisfying too

What kind of cheese did you use and what liquer?  Colorado Food Company makes a new Amaretto White Chocolate with Pumpkin dessert fondue for the holidays. OMG. I love fondue and that is what they do. Fabulous. You can make fondue out of anything. Pam   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ

Thanks for the comments, folks!

Pam, we used a beer base - a German lager, Gruyere, sharp white cheddar, and a tiny wedge of smoked Gouda.  Spicy brown mustard, a dash of Worchestershire, and a hint of hot sauce rounded out the spicy base.

We love fondue too, and my wife was lamenting the fact that we did not have a chocolate fondue for dessert!
