Wanted field goal kicker. Formally undefeated team looking for average field goal kicker. Even if you only make 50% we will take you.

I think a 56 yarder is a tall order for college football

It was the missed 3 before that hurt.

It will be very interesting to see if a #4 Auburn that beat a #1 Alabama jumps a #3 Ohio State that barely beat an unranked Michigan. It will get really interesting if Missouri beats A&M and then gets beat by Auburn in the SEC championship.

Now that makes sense......only saw the final play ???

Bama has played only one complete, good game this year.  There were games where they had good halves but not complete games.  They just may too many mental mistakes against Auburn today.  I don't know if it is the pressure of doing what they have been doing or what.  Maybe now they can relax and play at their capability.
I must take my hat off to Auburn because they out played and maybe out coached Bama today.

Who would have thought that a field goal kicker who had missed only one all year would come apart like Foster did today.  It's sort of like the Atlanta Braves relief pitcher of the late 1990's, Ron Walters, who was the best in the majors all of a sudden could not have hit a #2 wash tub if it were held by the catcher.  The mind is a mighty complex thing and we can't explain why it does what it does sometimes.

Both coaches made bad decisions!
With 6 min left how do you go on 4th down on your own 30?
Then when you are on the 12 how do you not kick the field goal?
Congrats to AUBURN!

I can understand not having confidence in Foster on the 12. But a field goal would put you 2 scores ahead. If you are willing to bring in another kicker to try a 57 yder, why not bring him in at the 12?
But like most coaching decisions, if you try it and it works you are a genius. If it doesn't then you are an idiot. But the Tide had a good run and all runs must end sometime.

Saban can coach a team, build a team and win but for some reason he can not find a kicker?

It was the most exciting and surprise finish to a football game that I have seen for a long time. The script could not have been written any better if you were an Auburn fan. The stories that will be told for a long time.

I don't know. From what I remember they came out of the half and thought the game was over, until it came down to the last play (again). either way, congrats to Auburn to one of the best turnaround seasons they have ever had.

Go Gators  :(

I have never been a Saban fan especially being from South Florida.  I think that he clearly needs to take credit for the defeat, a young kicker and 56 yards, score tied, give me a break.  That is poor coaching, and I really think his talented Alabama players have carried him though some good seasons despite his coaching.  A poor coaching call cost them the game.  I congratulate Auburn and now have to root for a Florida team, Florida State, even though my daughter is a Gator.
