Title: cabin ribs
Post by: sparky on January 16, 2014, 11:32:12 PM
this past weekend (the last 3 days) for me was work at the cabin.  my wife had to travel so I was up there all by myself working (fishing) very hard.  this is one of my chores.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun001.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun001.jpg.html)

move the chord of wood my wife ordered to the from the garage to the front of the house.  cr@p.   :(

well, I might as well cook something for myself while I'm working.  ya know what it is right?

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun004.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun004.jpg.html)

fired up the big nasty.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun002.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun002.jpg.html)

left my pitmaster ip at home so the old fashion way.  ya know, the way I use to do it all the time before I got lazy.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun006.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun006.jpg.html)

looking to get it between 250° - 275°.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun011.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun011.jpg.html)

no table so the wheel barrel will do.  2 pieces of apple also.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun005.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun005.jpg.html)

look at the nice blue smoke.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun007.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun007.jpg.html)

almost done.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun014.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun014.jpg.html)

it's about time.  took ya long enough.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun015.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun015.jpg.html)

all cleaned up.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun024.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun024.jpg.html)

it looks good.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun017.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun017.jpg.html)

a little pineapple pepper jelly.

(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb366/sparky5353/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun026.jpg) (http://s1202.photobucket.com/user/sparky5353/media/cabin%20ribs/cabinfun026.jpg.html)

Nice movie! At first I thought you split all that wood! Your ribs always look great!!! I don't care for your choice of Mac & Cheese  ::) But then it is my Wife's favorite and she would prefer it over anything I could whip up! For down and dirty no fuss I have been using Bob Evans from the grocery, no prep just heat and serve. Don

Sparky I think that cabin needs a pellet stove so you don't have to lug all that wood around the house ;)

Ribs look great! I love the Mango Habanero glaze that company makes!

And as far as the Kraft original Mac-n-Cheese... Well that is the only one my kids will eat so we love it too ;)

I need to send him a bottle of 40 Creek Whiskey. I'm putting together a box for Sparky.. wonder if I can sneak that in without trouble at the border. Food looks great buddy!

been thinking about a pellet stove also but the stove we have inside now works real good.  I will try the mango habanero.  you always give me good advice.  mac / cheese rules.

presents?  put the whole family in the box and come on over and lets go fishing scally.  it's really nice up here at 5500 ft at the lake.  oh.....  what is this 40 creek whiskey?  can I get it here?  my daughter bought a bottle of makers mark.  it's ok.

Not sure if its available in the States.. distillery is 5 mins from my office.. it's really good stuff. My friend owns a UPS store, I will ask her if its possible to ship booze.

Just the way I like it!  One bourbon... One rib... And one beer!  (Can you hear The song in your head?). Nice job!
