Yesterday, I cooked up a 3.3lbs tip roast. It came out good, it was a little rare for my taste. Not so much that it needed to go back on or anything, I like it closer to medium. I also had some potatoes that came out perfect. Of course today's lunch was roast beef sandwiches. Delicious on day two. Sorry I don't have any real good pics. We just destroyed it.

That would taste great sliced very thin - and put in a pan with some au jus for a few minutes……<slurp>!

That looks good to me.

Looks good. That is the beauty of something being too rare. It turns out perfect as leftovers.

What Tee said......very thin. Looks excellent

Can't go wrong with meat and potatoes ;D

meat and potatoes is a match made in heaven.

Good looking cook. Do you find it taste any different than a tri-tip?
-
Very nice!
-
I have never had tri tip. I did find a place recently, that sells it.

I second T's serving suggestion. That roast has WONDERFUL flavor but can be chewy. Slice it thin across the grain and hit it with some au jus and you've got great eats ;D
