Title: Valentine Appetizer Idea?
Post by: deestafford on February 10, 2014, 10:07:24 PM
For valentine supper for my wife and oldest daughter I'm thinking about surf and turf.  Steak and shrimp for the wife.  Steak and king crab legs for the daughter.  Side most likely asparagus (they like that green stuff--must be a female thing).  I've not got a brainstorm,  maybe more like a drizzle, on what would be a good appetizer.  Y'all got any ideas?

Thanks, Dee

Pam, I'm doing a chocolate brownie cut out in a heart shape, topped with strawberries dipped in chocolate nuzzled in whipped cream, and the brownie surrounded with small scoop each of three different types of gelato for dessert.

Still have not decided on the appetizer yet.

Dee..make 2 smaller cakes, one square and one round..cut the round one in half and put together like the pic.  Yours sounds very good tho. I would eat that.  Pam

How about a heart shaped bacon bowl with a nice salad that they could eat along with the bowl since you said they like the green stuff. Now that they sell those bacon cup cookers maybe you could get a heart shaped small pan and turn it upside down and do the same thing.
