Title: new toy for my BFF.
Post by: sparky on February 19, 2014, 10:40:38 PM
I love my WSM's.  I have a 18 and 22.  love them both.  when I need bling for my WSM's I call Cajun Bandit.  they have SS doors, charcoal rings, probes.  I have them all.  great products.  the owner of Cajun Bandit name is chris.  great guy.  in my dealings w/ chris we have became friends over a short amount of time.  we ended up talking football.  I might have given him some grief about his saints and he gives it back about my 49ers.  well we ended up making some wagers over football (can I say that here?) and I lost.  cr@p!  well i send chris some miners mix rubs (made in California).  well, he ended up sending me a new rotis for my 18 WSM.  chris needed some testers for it.  these aren't even on the market yet.  ya.......

Nice score, I loves me some rotisserie cooking. Haven't done as much since I got the SRG, may have to break it out again soon.

Nice score.  That rotisserie is not just for yard bird.  Try an eye round.  When I used to have a rotisserie on my Kettle, I cooked some good eye round.  The juices can't get out after it is seared on the outside.  They just kind of "roll around inside".  Juicy and tender.  Give it a go one of these days.

Looks good Sparky! I have been waiting for the rotis to come out for the18. I don't own a
22.5 so my CB is only used on the Kettle. In fact I checked his site the other day and it still
says "coming soon".

Must be a California thing  8)   I have tested a bunch of klunkers lately, this Roti from CBandit looks like a sweet set-up. :)

Now ya did it.

Sweetie walked by and saw your rotisserie bird on the screen and said "we haven't had  rotisserie anything in a long time.  How come."

Nice setup and good looking bird.

Whoop whoop!  I have wanted a rotisserie for my 18.5" since I've owned it to the point that I bought a Pro Q Stacker and made one using my Weber grill rotisserie parts.  The problem(s) is the Stacker doesn't fit well, top or bottom, and the lid goes on the outside of the stacker allowing gunk to run down the outside.  I had to have the top lip crimped just to get the WSM lid on it.  Anyway, is there room between the spit and bushing for a temp. probe cable like in this video -
