Used some Rodak's Coffee Rub on a couple of little sirloin steaks I picked up cheap at Sam's the other day, grilled some asparagus with some Texas Roadhouse seasoning, threw in some buttered egg noodles for SWMBO'd and a piece of smoked Havarti/dill crusty bread to finish the plate off. I'd rather have a NYS or Ribeye but they were just to pricey and it was a good meal on the cheap.

Good looking plate!

Nice looking steak and sides!
-
This plate will make me very happy .

Saber nothing wrong with a nice sirloin!
My favorite is a rib-eye but meat has been very expensive as you stated.
One way to save is to buy a whole rib-eye roast and cut it into steaks yourself.

I used to do that but now the price per pound on the whole roasts is more than the cut steaks when they put them on reduced price. I used to get a 20lb choice chuck clod to grind up for burgers for $1.67 and the 80/20 ground chuck select was $1.98, last week I looked and the chuck clod was now $4.87 lb I was in such sticker shock I couldn't even look at the GB prices.

Saber you need to grab a big ice chest and head down to College Station. The Rosenthal meat science center at Texas A&M has great prices on all kinds of beef, pork, sausage, etc. I stop by there at least once a month and buy all the chuck roasts and or beef clods they have to use for sausage and jerky or snack sticks.

Forgot all about that, I will need to save up some cash and do that sometime. Does the Dairy Science center still sell the great ice creams they used to?
