Title: 9 years later....
Post by: Pappymn on April 11, 2014, 08:14:21 PM
My 9 year old son finally said he wanted a bike after years of saying no way. He had his scooter, and wanted nothing to do with a bike :(

Until 2 days ago. So we picked this up for him tonight. I think I am as excited as he is.

Nothing like the happy look on a kids face when they get their first bike.  :)

Get ready Pappy.  Time will fly by and he will be getting his first car.  Next, your hair turns gray and/or falls out.  Just a friendly warning.

Been there, done that!  Time will fly by!!

That's great Pappy. I loved my bikes... actually became a bike racer for awhile and ran a bike shop - hope he turns out better...  ;) ;D

I, too, am happy to see youngsters on bicycles.  I wish that there were more "little league" and high school racing teams.

Pappy, proper fit is really important, especially as the miles build.  Pain in front of the knee means one adjustment is required.  Pain on the knee's back side calls for another.  D.R. Holy can tell you more.

That photo made me smile.

Get a bike for yourself and ride with him.

Thanks all. He spent the whole weekend riding and wonders why his butt hurts. ???

He even rode it to school today, though it is just a block away. I have a custom license plate coming for him too.
