Solar Roadways (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlTA3rnpgzU)

Think how exciting it would be to be involved in something as exciting as this.

Wow! That is so cool. I have always enjoyed science fiction, and the first thing I thought about was Heinlein's The Roads Must Roll.

As with any technology that is a reach, there will be plenty of "naysayers" to explain why it can't work. But, clearly, it can. Not a "quick fix." But can be implemented in stages - driveways, parking lots. School playgrounds, sidewalks... developing countries can implement as they build roads vs. retro-fitting... The impact can be fantastic.

Thanks for sharing this, Paul!

Love solar, have lots of it going on at our house in various forms,if I didnt live in tree area house would be solar. If the grid ever went down I'd still have lights and refer and freezer with what we have on hand, readily deploy-able.Got 600 watts deployed now.
