Gonna try some grub in the Kingfisher Grill and see how it cooks.
Using this most excellent all purpose rub.....has a brown sugar base and only 1% sodium, they also have a kick-arse BBQ sauce and hickory smoked pickle chips.....mmmmmmmmm  ;D
I know y'all wanna get your order placed so here you go:  http://www.fromthewoodsbbq.com/order.html

I think so Mike. I finally got smart (well kinda smart) and got some poultry shears and I cut out the whole backbone and crushed down the breast bone and they set nice and flat........and............I was able to get the rub under the skin all the way down the drumsticks as well  8)

Did I mention that  http://www.fromthewoodsbbq.com/order.html     offers pay-pal ?  ::)

Took a week of seasoning with cherry wood to blacken up the inside real good ( the pit was hot-tanked like they do engine blocks so it was completely unfinished metal inside and out).

The Kooker is set up for indirect roasting..gonna use an apricot mini split for smoke.........

Smoke - that meal looks fit for a king! The smoke pickle chips sound great. I know that Rick (nepas) recently did a thread on smoked dill spears......made me hungry for some!

Really like the new cooker!
The only problem with indirect smoking is I tend to drink too much :o
I was taught to add fuel every 45 minutes or adult beverage , whichever comes first.
Those 12-14 hour cooks are HARD !
