I am thinking a lot of the stores are sold out and its on back order. They probably don't rain checks and just wanted turn over old inventory from their warehouse.

Rad, you will love your new dehydrator. I use mine at least once a week. My son loves the dried apple with cinnamon. When I do those the whole house smells just great.

When you dehydrate fruits and veggies how do you store them? How long do they typically last? Do you add any preservatives?

There is a post in the for sale section, that the LEM 10 tray dehydrator is on sale at Gander Mountain for $129 again.  I ordered one with local pickup (I have a store 6 miles away), and used a coupon code of GMTN10 to get another $10 off, final price is $119.99 plus tax.
