I do have to say I really like the looks of these grills. Also, have to admit I am a sucker for Danish design - B&O stereos, Skagen watches, furniture... I really like the minimalist look combined with excellent performance.

Clearly customer support and spare parts, etc. will be a major factor in making a buy decision. It is interesting to see CB take a different road, I hope it will be supported with the "back of house."

Assuming they are successful with support, I would definitely look at one of these if and when I "need" a new grill (yeah the whole need vs. want thing...)
Back in the mid 80' s one of our customers had a B & O stereo system. There were no buttons on it at all.  Completely touch sense with a sleek aqua blue glass top finish. You had to know where to touch it to get it to show the button locations. That may not seem like much, but back then it was a huge deal.  Sound that was outrageously clear. The kind of sound that was clear enough at volume you thought you could talk over it but then realized no one could hear a word...
Could still put most stuff to shame today.

I am still using a B&O turntable from the 80's - works great - finding a stylus can be problematic... ;) But it is rock solid and spins my vinyl perfectly - totally manual - I love it. Like a fool, I sold the rest of my B&O equipment many years ago, got a good price (about 1/3 what it would cost to buy it back today... :( )
You can't catch a fish if you don't get a line wet...
Pit Barrel Cooker, Char Broil Electric Smoker, Charbroil Prototype Kettleman, Char Broil 500X, Blackstone Flat Top, Char-Broil SRG, Weber Performer, ANOVA sous vide device, Lodge Hibachi, Discada, Chimenea, fire pit, hunk of pink salt...

If anything, Char Broil will cheapen up the line-up.......I still can't forgive them to what they did to the New Braunfels and Oklahoma Joes.........

in fact, for a short time Char-Broil owned the rights to the PK Grill. Thank goodness they didn't do anything to ruin that little gem of a grill before they sold the rights....

Smoke or Sparky, was the CB aluminum grill that Sparky has, made after they bought PK out? Because it is a reasonable facsimile.

I don't think so, if I remember correctly the Captain said it was from the 70's. Pk was still being made in Texas.....

First thing I thought of as well.  I had a B&O back in the 70's.  It sounded great and made it through a lot moved during my college years.  I still have it, but haven't cranked it up in decades.  I'll bet it still sounds good.

FYI, I'll stick with my Webers.

I think the Captain is on some kind of self imposed hiatus or maybe he found another forum. Haven't seen any activity from him in a while......

Believe it or not, there are actually other forums on the internet  ;D ;D

It would be nice if they posted prices on their website!!

Just an example of very poor marketing.
