Traeger Ribs and TBE Corn
« Reply #-1 on: December 03, 2011, 11:12:20 AM »
I told the Wife I wanted to smoke some ribs...Wife bought six racks of baby backs! I just added a second shelf to my Traeger Junior so I was able to fit all six on that little guy(had to cut one rack in half). Two racks were rubbed with Gunpowder, two with Billy Bob's Que Pork Rib Rub, and two with Char-Broil's Pinch of Sizzle Kansas City Rub. Then fired up the Traeger and set to smoke using Washington Apple Pellets and American Hickory(50/50). Smoke for an hour at P-setting 0 then 225F for two hours. Then they were foiled with apple juice and back in at 225F for two more hours. Finally they were unfoiled and then sauced with Bull's-Eye Kansas City style BBQ sauce for a 30 minute finish on smoke setting. Tender and juicy ribs with great smoke flavor...just the way I like them ;D

The corn was grilled on the TBE with my SRG grill mod. They were basted with unsalted butter, hickory smoked salt, and white sugar then rolled in foil. The corn was grilled for 30 minutes and turned out great!

How or what did you do to add the second rack to your junior. I've been wanting to add a second rack to mine!

What's funny is nobody commented on it in 2011. Was Muebe a forum of one? If anybody could be a forum of one......it is Muebe
