My apologies to South Dakota
« Reply #-1 on: July 07, 2015, 10:23:04 AM »
Just returned from the great American road trip.  And based on my last count I didn't kill anybody in my family.  ???  :'(

I have lived next door to South Dakota my whole life, and went there when I was a young kid, so it was like seeing it for the first time.  I thought it was going to be brown, flat, and boring.  I could not have been more wrong. Rolling green prairies loaded with grass fed beef graving. Towering ponderosa pines and rock formations. A few lakes, streams, and natural beauty.

Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Black Hills National Park, and The Badlands were just remarkable.  So many other things to see as well.  We saw wildlife that we may never see again.  The people were awesome as well.

If I ever decide to leave the liberal la la land of Minnesota, I would consider red state South Dakota.

I have been to South Dakota several times.  I would love to go fishing and hunting there.  It is beautiful.

I'm still trying to figure out why you are apologizing.

If you like to pheasant hunt, South Dakota is the place to be!!  They've got more of those birds than you can shake a stick at!

Hey Pappy, if you see some real "wildlife" in South Dakota, you should pop back over to Sturgis in a couple weeks ! ! !

I've never been there myself, but from what I've heard . . .

Just for stereotyping the state before seeing it for my own eyes.
