Yes that's an open-faced Italian beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. You'll have to take my word about that! But there is just the slightest corner of bread left "naked" for all the naysayers to see! Hub can't possibly say there's not enough gravy on this sammie....can he? I mean look at that tiny dry spot. I even stuck my fat pinky in the pic just for a size comparison.  :o
The best part of this....my wife made this and said "now you can tell your bacon and gravy loving friends what you had for dinner this evening! "  I picked the right girl!  ;)

hikerman gets the concept  ;D.  Oh YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 8)

There is no way to eat that thing without getting GRAVY in every bite!

This is in no way a criticism, but merely a suggestion to help with the little problem like that spot -- a bowl of gravy on the side to be used as "insurance"  ::)

LOL!!

That "insurance gravy" may also increase the odds of dripping gravy on your shirt.  Might need to consider a bib when eating gravy.  We need to design a "Bib by Hub" when eating gravy.  My recommended bib will appeal to Dee and Ka Honu, a surplus PONCHO!!

I would probably need about 4 slices of Wonder Bread to get that plate clean after I killed the meat and taters  8)

... Wonder Bread to get that plate clean...
...same thing, except ...homemade bread...

Why? A true gravy lover is wondering why all the empty calories in potatoes and bread are involved at all. A spoon should easily take care of all the cleaning necessary at the table and you can "swipe and lick" in the kitchen. I know how wives can be about stuff like that so if you're required to be more refined in your home, you could maybe use a flexible spatula instead of your finger.
