I'm in route to Kansas City. Any suggestions for places to eat?

Get off the bus and throw a rock...
Go eat where the rock landed.
There must be that many good places for bbq in KC.

Wish I was there to explore.

Topic should have been "What" to eat...
 Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que.
"One of the 13 places to eat before you die" ...

The girl that keeps the Hunting camp suggested it immediately and without batting an eye.   When we first pulled in from the side it just looked like an old gas station that was barely open.
When we rounded the back though we realized most of the station had been converted into a restaurant.  The line of people went across the front of the building resulting in a 45 minute wait. And it continued that way until after we ate and left.

The ribs were good... just a slight tug separated the meat from the bone. Subtle smoke flavor and not dry.  I must say I have had ribs(several times) cooked by members of this forum that were as good for sure. Never the less , Joes was worth the wait .

Scott had the the Burnt ends, they were melt in your mouth and really tasty. Just as they should have been.
Then there was the brisket... Oh man that was some kinda good right there. Tender as you could ask for and just a nice touch of smoke.
We spent the next day walking off the Que through acres ankle deep mud in fields of Milo and soybeans to get to the wooded areas where we were putting out game cams.
Its been flooding up there pretty bad this year apparently.  If we had been two days earlier we would not have been able to put the cameras out at all. some places had water lines chest deep...
