Anything better then really great bread
« Reply #-1 on: December 29, 2012, 07:56:40 PM »
My wife got me this giant 4 pound Pugliese bread today for my birthday. Very crusty outside, and soft inside. It is a work of art. Used the soup can to provide size perspective.

I see sandwiches, French toast, and killer bread pudding in my immediate future.

cut the top off and take out the center.  fill that sucker w/ chili.  the bread you take out of it you can use for fondue.  get a few meals out of it.   8)

Happy Birthday - what a great gift! Be sure to share some pics as you work your way through that loaf.

Cheers,
