That's what I'm talkin' about.

Yes, this is f***ing crazy.  But, I knew this was going to happen after the vaping lunacy.  What, a little over 50 people died (Never a good thing!! ) and we shut down a whole industry.  An industry that was, by the way, helping people quit smoking.  And in the same time period 50-60 thousand people die from opioids and it barely gets any coverage.

Same thing here, the flu can (and has) kill 50,000 a year and it's life as usual . . .

I know that I am not any kind of a medical expert, and The Wuhan Virus may be waaaay more easily transmitted than other viruses . . . . so I agree that some extra caution should be taken, but, yeah, this is crazytown.

The lockdowns here in Cali and other states brings this to another level. Restaurants, Bars closing and telling us over 65 to self quarantine until the end of March. I sincerely hope it does not extend beyond that, the hard working folks in the hospitality business are the least prepared for unexpected unemployment.

Yes, if (and I mean if) this would end up like the Spanish Flu, it would be catastrophic.  But I really don't think we'll end up anywhere near that.  I'm really hopeful about the news about Hydroxychloroquine and some of the other drugs that are being tested as therapeutics and possibly even prophylactics.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be taking additional precautions, I'm just saying that, in this current atmosphere, everything even relatively bad seems to be getting over-hyped and blown out of proportion.

Hell, I just found today that the Bike Week in Leesburg, Fla. has just been canceled.  (I was planing to go down with my S-i-L) Now, I don't think it was the bikers' idea, but it tells how far it's gone . . .     ;{)
