Anybody seen one of these before?
« Reply #-1 on: March 29, 2013, 01:14:12 PM »
Was at my favorite local garden center and they had these. Didn't seem very practical to me. Not a lot of cooking area. The garden center has the whole Weber line and the BGE. But no pellet poopers. Yes, I smell a business opportunity, just not sure what it is ;)

Not sure either but the item (black) looks like a pizza oven that my brother just installed

I'm with muebe.  I guess it is worth the cost but I KNOW that amount will buy you a really good pellet cooker.  Looks like it might be a fairly versatile little stick burner, though, if you're in the market.

Alforno in Italian (don't quote me) means wood fired pizza oven.
I have been toying with the idea of building a brick alforno in my back yard. Since my BIL is a bricklayer, with several cases of beer and bricks, there we go.

If you have ever had the chance to make your own pizza and cook it in a wood fired oven, WOW.

Close.  Forno is an oven or kiln.  Al forno generally refers to food cooked "in the oven" or "baked."

I wouldn't buy a pellet, but I can get a lot of smoker for $1500.
