I like Alton's concept... no single use tool except for a fire extinguisher.

For separating the egg from the white I like the bottle idea.

I have used the bottle method (when I have an empty or almost empty water bottle laying around) it works great. On the other hand, so does the "old fashioned way..."  ;)

The 20 or 24 bottle opener would be handy for my wife's softball team - we call them the beer locusts!  ???
