Alabama Sausage
« Reply #-1 on: June 15, 2013, 06:12:53 PM »
When we met Tommy (TMB) in North Georgia on our way home from the SEGSMO he sent a little care package home with us so we threw it on the Traeger last night with a homemade Margarita Pizza.

Paired it up with some smoked cheese and headed down to the neighbors for happy hour.  They killed it.  Good thing I saved half the sausage for myself to eat after work tonight

Knowing Tommy that was probably Conecuh sausage, good stuff. Alabama is kind of a hot bed of sausage making my favorite in Kelley's from South Alabama along with the Conecuh and also Monroe sausage made down in Monroe county and Royal sausage made in my home town of Pell City.

No you didn't Tommy! You wanted us boys up in Iowa to fabricate a copycat recipe for you!! ;D ;D  I cut mine into smaller pieces so I can cook them different ways to get different flavor profiles. Probably start the process this week

Conecuh is worth trying to replicate. It is one of the best tasting commercial sausages I have ever tasted.
