Slawsa Deviled eggs with anchovie Grinch
« Reply #-1 on: December 22, 2013, 06:38:07 PM »
Been eyeballing that Slawsa recipe for deviled eggs for a few days now. Mixed the Slawsa in with the yolks and boy is that really good all by itself!! The wife and I don't have the same food likes so there all different. Some have Capers, some have anchovies, added a little dill and Paprika.
First the Grinch

I used to really dislike anchovies but I am acquiring a taste for them.

If you don't think you like anchovies try soaking them in milk for a bit...

My mother used to make oyster stuffing for the Thanksgiving turkey... now that took some getting used to! (I'd never do it <lol>.)

Anchovy just adds a marvelous salty savory nature to food in my humble opinion - kind of like fish sauce to Asian foods - not fishy, just good savory flavor
