Getting ready for most important day of the year!
« Reply #-1 on: March 07, 2014, 03:31:20 PM »
Sunday , the first day with daylight saving time of course ::)
Look I still work  :( :( & in the winter it's hard to want to cook in the cold & dark after work!
Getting things in shape, got new 11 ft patio umbrella after the last one broke.
9y/o gas grill needed new starter ( it's 3rd) & the heavy porceloin coated grates started messing up ???
Debated on spending the money on new grates , but after inspecting the grill I think has several years left so just ordered new grates.
Tried grill grates but like the 11 lb monster cast iron grates that came with the grill better, unfortunately more expensive than grill grates.
Ordered a new halogen light fixture , looked at LED but still too expensive.
Got new gaskets for Kamodo ordered, burned them up when it went thermonuclear ( my fault).
Rotating outdoor fan no longer rotates , still blows may defer replacement.
Everything else looks like a little cleaning & it'll be OK.

I'm the opposite.  I like it to be lighter in the morning.

I'm not sure your porcelain coated grates suffered the same fate as mine but I put mine in the electric stove during a self-cleaning cycle and the porcelain started failing immediately after.  BUT, it wasn't until I ruined 2 more that I found out that porcelain can't handle that super high temp. *slaps forehead*
LA, looks like one of your spring chore items might be that gutter.  ;)

Fun!

Your grates look identical to the grates on my RED before I got my Grill Grates. I love mine!

Easy to tell the newbies on board...you and the Cajun will learn about some of these comments as time goes on.
