Food Lion has London broil for $2.99/lb.  Picked up two today and will cook one in TBE tomorrow. First time doing that.  I am going to have to cut it into two pieces since my wife likes her beef well well done and I like medium rare.

No idea what this is...

In the US, it's a mislabeled piece of meat. London Broil is a preparation (recipe), traditionally made with flank steak. It has "evolved" into a description of a cut of meat which is generally prepared in the London Broil manner (marinated, broiled/grilled, sliced thin across the grain) and could be many things but is usually top round nowadays.

I think it means something totally different in Canada and it has no meaning at all in London.

This is one of those cuts that is tough as a boot but has fantastic beefy flavor.  Slice it very thinly, across the grain and you've got some mighty fine steak  ;D
