Biltong
« Reply #-1 on: May 31, 2012, 12:28:44 PM »
A friend of mine who lives on the Isle Of Man sent me some Biltong spice.

This past April i was very happy to finally meet Ahron (africanmeat) In Florida. He brought me an authentic Biltong cutter all the way from SA.

I made some Biltong and went thru the process of seasoning and drying.

When the Biltong was dry to our liking i finally got to use the cutter.

Thank You Ahron, Im really enjoying the cutter.....Yeah its sharp...Yikes

Is the biltong another version of jerky?  I have had some, but it has been quite a while back.

Looks interesting...never heard of Biltong.

I had to look it up. It's basically South Africa's version of jerky.

It sure looks tasty!
