Pork loin on the Traeger
« Reply #-1 on: August 13, 2014, 07:28:46 PM »
Cooked my first loin on the Traeger I recently bought.  Cooked for 1 hr 20 minutes on 350*.  Rubbed with FS&B. Very moist and tender and nice 1/4 inch smoke ring.  I've read that a lot of people experience wide temp swings.   I installed the digital controller a couple days ago and am very pleased with it.  When I went from smoke to 350, it peaked at 368, stabilized at 350-353.  It would drop to 341, dump pellets and start the burn cycle.  Hit 358 and then drop to 350-353 again.  I can certainly live with a swing of 341-358.

Pellet  cooking could become addictive.
